Régine is back with another episode of Reality Check, and she has plenty to say about the women of Potomac. The episode opens with Karen’s “Sophia Home” welcome-home party.
Régine questions the name, says it doesn’t sit right with her, and rejects the explanation Karen provides. She is glad to see Wendy and her mother in a better place, but she remains skeptical about how much support Wendy and Eddie are really receiving from their families.
Régine also warns Wendy against confiding in Gizelle and Robyn, predicting that their current interactions could become a source of tension once Wendy’s legal situation reaches its next stage. Elsewhere, Régine gives Courtney credit for being open about the infidelity and separation in her marriage and says she wants to see more of her.
She also examines Tia’s marriage, including the dating-site issue involving Tia’s husband, and praises Cal for challenging Gizelle when he believes she has been a bad friend. Ashley gets her own criticism, too.
Régine says she is tired of Ashley’s confessionals when they focus on other people rather than providing insight into Ashley’s own life. At the same time, Régine sees a reason to welcome Robyn back: she believes Robyn is willing to call Karen out when she thinks Karen is lying.
The conversation also touches on the number of women who have separated from their husbands and later reconciled, raising questions about forgiveness and what the show’s relationship patterns suggest. Finally, Régine questions Karen’s claims about rehab and gives Wendy credit for holding her own when arguing with the other women.
Despite the frustrations, Régine says she is tuned in. She feels this season has more going on than the recent seasons and is interested in seeing how the drama develops.
