A Familiar Face Among the Evidence: Kameela Russell

In this episode of Hunting 4 Answers: In May 2019, 41-year-old Kameela Russell disappeared from Miami Gardens, Florida, while on her way to pick up her youngest daughter. Ten days later, her body was found in a canal.

Investigators uncovered surveillance footage, phone records, and forensic evidence that led them to a man Kameela had known since childhood and trusted as the godfather of her two daughters. He was arrested and later charged with first-degree murder.

More than seven years later, a plea agreement has been reached that calls for 30 years in prison, followed by five years of probation. Sentencing is scheduled for November 6, 2026.
