Senator Turner speaks with historian, educator, and author who is currently an Adjunct History Professor at Cuyahoga Community College, Sherlynn Allen-Harris. They take a moment to discuss how the status quo and legislators have the power to encourage change instead of enforce the unbalanced racial power structures that affect all communities, especially the Black community. Senator Turner and Sherlynn lift up the fact that we must not allow uncomfortably distract us from teaching about our country’s history - the ugly and not so cute. With talks of regression, Sherlynn lays out how capitalism and the desire for profit plays a significant role in our society.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

SNT is “madder than a mother f*cker” and joins you in the outrage over the Supreme Court reversal on Roe v. Wade on June 24th. She doesn’t stop with expressing her anger; in this episode she offers real solutions that we must do now in order to protect the democracy we have left.
