Ephesians 1:7-8 reminds us that in Christ we have redemption and forgiveness through His blood according to the riches of God's grace. There may still be consequences for our actions.
Forgiveness does not necessarily erase every earthly consequence, and restoration does not always mean returning to exactly what existed before. But failure does not place someone beyond the reach of God's grace.
And 1 Peter 5:10 reminds us that after we have suffered for a little while, God Himself can restore us and make us strong, firm, and steadfast. God is a God of justice, and He is also a God of grace.
If God sees fit to forgive and redeem someone, we should be careful about deciding that their worst failure must permanently define them. Whether you're struggling to believe that God can restore you after your own mistakes or struggling to extend grace to someone else, today's devotional is a reminder that redemption is at the very heart of the gospel. 📖 Scripture: Ephesians 1:7-8; 1 Peter 5:10 (NIV) 💗 Support this ministry: 👕 Shop Faith-Based Apparel & Gifts: 🎙 Podcast: Apple: Spotify: Purchases through applicable Amazon links help support Daily Devotional Ministries at no extra cost to you.
