As moms, we're used to being the ones who step in, figure things out, and make sure everything is ok. But what happens when you start taking responsibility for things that were never yours to fix?
Sometimes something happens with your child, your spouse, or someone else you love, and even though you didn't create the situation, it still affects you. So how do you support the people you love without taking on the responsibility of fixing everything for them?
In this episode of The Mom Self-Care Podcast, I'm sharing how to stop taking responsibility for everything as a mom and recognize the difference between supporting someone and taking over what belongs to them. I'm talking about giving yourself permission to acknowledge how someone else's choices or problems affect you, recognizing what actually belongs to you, and learning how to care for the people you love without carrying everything yourself.
Because momma, you can care deeply about what someone is going through and still recognize that everything isn't yours to fix. If you're a Christian mom who feels responsible for keeping everything and everyone together, struggles with setting boundaries, or finds yourself taking on other people's problems, this episode is for you.
