YOUR MOTHER YOUR MOTHER YOUR MOTHER Movie Review with Marquise Davon | SEATED | Ep. 51

WATCH ON YOUTUBE Hosts Tre'vell Anderson and Ray Love Jr. are pulling up a seat in the Kick-It Lounge for educator, brand founder, content creator, and host of the Keepin' It A Bean podcast, Marquise Davon! After chopping it up to get the scoop on Marquise's personal film taste, the trio locks in for a review of Bassam Tariq's YOUR MOTHER YOUR MOTHER YOUR MOTHER starring Mahershala Ali.

The crew unpacks the film's intense collision of faith, fatherhood, and grief through the Black gaze, dissecting Ali's powerhouse performance as a devout hitman fighting to protect his family after an unthinkable tragedy. Tune in for their unfiltered verdict: does this poignant search for grace and redemption earn an enthusiastic "Seated," settle into a "Stream It," or land as a flat "Skip It?" Over in the Fresh Out segment, Ray breaks down the latest weekend box office receipts, taking the temperature on Street Fighter, You Can See Everything, Whalefall, Sense and Sensibility, Crawlers, and Trust Me, I'm A Doctor.

To close the show, Tre'vell and Marquise go head-to-head in a spirited "Canon Cousin: Heavy Hearts" edition of the Black Cinema Games, spotlighting five Black-led theatrical films where a leading man must navigate the devastating loss of his wife.
