THE SOCIAL RECKONING Movie Review + OTHER MOMMY, FJORD, PAN'S LABYRINTH and More | SEATED | Ep. 50

WATCH ON YOUTUBE Hosts Tre'vell Anderson and Ray Love Jr. are logging in and checking the timeline for their review of the new Aaron Sorkin tech drama, THE SOCIAL RECKONING . Ray and Tre'vell get into the nitty-gritty of the film's execution, unpacking how this exploration of corporate greed, algorithmic harm, and digital accountability plays through the Black gaze, and whether the whistleblower drama actually gives what it's supposed to give.

Tune in for their hella honest verdict: is this ripped-from-the-headlines story a "Seated," "Stream It," or a "Skip It?" In the Fresh Out segment, the hosts share their brief reactions to the horror flick OTHER MOMMY, while Ray breaks down other weekend box office releases, including ANIMALS, FJORD, THE BEAST, and the special PAN'S LABYRINTH 20th Anniversary re-release. To close the show, the hosts play a special "Canon Cousin: Front Page" edition of the Black Cinema Games.

Ray is serving up five theatrical films that act as canonical cousins to The Social Reckoning, highlighting iconic Black-led movies adapted directly from real-life newspaper articles, columns, and investigative series.
