Gary, Indiana went without power for two weeks following major storms, much longer than surrounding areas. The city has a population of 70K, 80% of whom are Black.

As the food in their fridge rotted and temperatures soared, conditions became dire. Gary’s mayor, Eddie Melton, joins NLP to explain the situation.
