You Are Not Discontinued: How to Stay Relevant in the Age of AI

Thank for listening. Let me know what you liked best.

Are you worried that artificial intelligence, new technology, or younger professionals are making your experience less valuable? Have you ever entered a conversation where everyone seemed to understand the newest platform, trend, or technical language except you?

In You Are Not Discontinued: How to Stay Relevant in the Age of AI , Lesley George uses Woody’s journey in Toy Story to explore aging, technology, career reinvention, and the quiet fear of being replaced. Woody was once Andy’s favorite toy and the trusted leader of the room.

When the newer, shinier, technologically advanced Buzz Lightyear arrived, Woody began questioning the value he had carried for years. Many experienced professionals know that feeling.

Workplaces are changing, AI is reshaping how tasks are completed, and younger employees often enter the room already comfortable with the newest tools. The pressure to keep up can make accomplished women wonder whether their experience still carries weight.

Lesley connects this modern challenge with National Mail Order Catalog Day. Mail order catalogs once changed how people shopped, but they eventually gave way to websites, digital shopping carts, and rapid delivery.

The need remained while the method evolved. The same principle applies to our gifts.

Your purpose can remain steady while the way you communicate, lead, create, or serve continues developing. Lesley also shares two personal stories about learning to adapt.

Words such as funnels, integrations, landing pages, and automations once sounded like a foreign language. Instead of surrendering her vision to people who knew the terminology, she learned what she needed and built two websites with the design and features she wanted.

She also explains how Mosaic Sparks™ began as a YouTube channel more than two years ago. Although she was creating content, she knew the channel did not reflect the full podcast she envisioned.

After discovering a community focused on podcast growth, she learned the language of distribution, downloads, positioning, audience development, and sponsorships. Mosaic Sparks™ now reaches listeners in the United States, Frankfurt, Germany, the Netherlands, and other parts of the world.

The podcast has also reached the stage of pitching brands for sponsorship opportunities. Sometimes your spirit recognizes the destination before your vocabulary catches up.

This episode will help you identify the experience you already carry, determine what you need to learn, and choose one action that can move you forward within the next seven days. Lesley also explains how experienced professionals can use artificial intelligence and new technology without giving up their judgment, humanity, voice, or unique perspective.

Your role may change. Your delivery may need an update.

Your experience has not expired. Listen for a practical and emotionally honest conversation about older workers and AI, Gen X women learning technology, career reinvention after 40 and 50, lifelong learning, staying relevant at work, overcoming the fear of new technology, and using your wisdom in a changing world.

The episode closes with the official BRAGG™ Pledge and a challenge to stop waiting for permission, make your gifts visible, and take responsibility for your next move. Visit to listen to more episodes and receive additional content from Lesley George.
