Cha Cha Album Review Series - Ycee: Out of Sight - Out of Mind Volume 1- A Worthy Hip Hop Comeback?

There was a time when Ycee looked destined to become the face of Nigerian hip-hop. Songs like Jagaban, Juice, Condo, and Link Up made him one of the hottest rappers in the country.

Then somewhere along the line, the momentum slowed down. New artists emerged, the industry changed, and Ycee gradually faded from the spotlight.

The funny thing is, Ycee never stopped making music. He stopped being part of the conversation.

So when he announced Out of Sight – Out of Mind: Volume 1, I couldn't help but smile because the title perfectly captures his journey over the last few years. He may have been out of sight, but he definitely wasn't out of his mind.
