What if “born into sin” means you were born into someone else’s scarcity? You weren’t born believing there wasn’t enough.
Somebody taught you that. Adam and Eve had an entire garden—and became consumed with the one thing they were told they couldn’t have.
Scarcity will have you walking past 100 trees staring at one apple. The problem isn’t always what’s missing.
Sometimes it’s what you’ve trained yourself not to see. You can be surrounded by abundance and still experience lack if lack is what you’re looking for.
Scarcity says: “When I have more, I’ll feel safe.” Abundance asks: “What am I refusing to see that already exists?” You inherited beliefs before you were old enough to question them. “Money doesn’t grow on trees.” “People like us don’t do that.” “Love always hurts.” “Life is hard.” Those weren’t facts. They were stories handed to you.
Some of your beliefs aren’t yours. You’re just the person still carrying them.
Scarcity doesn’t only show up in your bank account. It shows up in who you date, what you tolerate, what you charge, what you ask for, and what you believe your body deserves.
You can make six figures and still have a poverty relationship with money. You can be married and still live in emotional scarcity.
You can have opportunities everywhere and still believe nothing ever works out for you. You don’t create abundance by pretending everything is perfect.
You create it by changing what you notice, believe, choose, and repeatedly make visible. Your life keeps giving you evidence for the story you keep rehearsing.
Stop asking, “Why don’t I have it?” Start asking, “What would I have to believe about myself to receive it?” The first abundance you create isn’t money. It’s possibility.
You cannot build HER’s life while making ME’s decisions. Maybe the Garden never disappeared.
Maybe we just became obsessed with the apple. The way out of scarcity is not getting everything you want.
It’s becoming someone who can finally see what has been available to her all along.
