What to Do When Life Hits Hard — Psalm 103:13-14; 34:18
When life hits hard and you don't understand why, remember that God knows your pain. He understands your frailty, and He is close to you in the midst of it.
When life hits hard in ways we never expected, it can be difficult to understand why God allowed certain things to happen. But even in our most heartbreaking seasons, God knows exactly what we're going through, and He is close to us in our pain. 🕊️ Grow Closer to God with Our Journals • The Daily Devotional Bible Study Journal: • The Daily Devotional Prayer Journal: 🎁 Download a Free Bible Study Resource 💌 Get the Daily Devotional Weekly Wrap-Up!
Sometimes life brings circumstances we never anticipated. We may find ourselves asking, "Lord, why is this happening?
Why did You allow this? How am I supposed to get through it?" Some experiences leave us deeply discouraged, heartbroken, or crushed in spirit.
But Psalm 103:13-14 reminds us that God has compassion on His children. He knows how we are formed.
He remembers that we are dust. God understands our human limitations, our frailty, and our need for Him.
And Psalm 34:18 reminds us that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Friends, God is not distant from us when we're hurting.
We don't have to pretend we're okay. We don't have to understand everything that's happening.
And we don't have to find the strength to handle everything on our own. When life hurts, we can run toward God rather than away from Him.
We can bring Him our pain, our questions, and our tears. He is the One who can comfort us, strengthen us, and bring healing to our broken hearts.
God knows what you're going through. And He is near. 📖 Scripture: Psalm 103:13-14; Psalm 34:18 (NIV) 💗 Support this ministry: 👕 Shop Faith-Based Apparel & Gifts: 🎙 Podcast: Apple: Spotify: 🔗 Connect with me: 📸 Instagram Personal: DDM: Facebook: Purchases through applicable Amazon links help support Daily Devotional Ministries at no extra cost to you.
