Resident Evil (2026) Full Spoiler Review

🎬 RESIDENT EVIL (2026) MOVIE REVIEW | Zach Cregger's New Horror Film I finally got the chance to check out Zach Cregger's new Resident Evil movie, and I had some mixed feelings going into it after seeing the trailers. In this spoiler-filled review, I break down what works, what doesn't, and whether this new take on the iconic video game franchise delivers.

The movie follows Bryan, played by Austin Abrams, a medical delivery driver who finds himself thrown into a nightmare involving mysterious infections, creepy creatures, Raccoon City, and a dangerous mission to deliver a package that could be connected to a potential cure. One thing I really enjoyed was how much the movie sometimes feels like an actual Resident Evil video game.

From exploring dark locations and discovering weapons to finding keys and dealing with strange creatures, there are several moments that feel like they were pulled directly from a survival-horror game. But the movie isn't perfect.

I discuss the humor, the inconsistent reactions from the main character, the predictable story, the creature designs, the locations, the horror elements, and whether this new Resident Evil movie does enough to stand out from previous live-action adaptations. ⚠️ SPOILER WARNING: This review contains major spoilers for the new Resident Evil movie. Watch at your own risk! 🎥 MY RATING: 6.2/10 In this review: • Resident Evil movie review • Zach Cregger's Resident Evil • Austin Abrams as Bryan • Raccoon City • Resident Evil creatures • Resident Evil video game references • Horror and survival-horror elements • Story and characters • Acting and visuals • Spoilers and ending discussion • What works and what doesn't • Is the new Resident Evil movie worth watching?
