Lawrence Saint-Victor on Carter's Dark Turn, Daytime Emmy Nominations & 20 Years in Soaps

Twenty years in daytime television, two Daytime Emmy nominations, and one of the most compelling storylines of his career! My friend Lawrence Saint-Victor joins me for his very first full interview on The Buzz – BuzzWorthy Radio !

We take a trip down memory lane to where it all began for Lawrence, playing Remy Boudreau on Guiding Light . He reflects on working alongside daytime legends, including Kim Zimmer, Robert Newman, Ron Raines, and Tom Pelphrey, and shares what it was like to participate in the show's historic 70th-anniversary episode.

Of course, we have PLENTY to discuss about The Bold and the Beautiful ! Lawrence breaks down Carter Walton's controversial decisions, his complicated relationship with Steffy Forrester, and why he doesn't necessarily see Carter as a villain.

We also explore the psychology behind these characters, the importance of storytelling payoffs, and why sometimes audiences are supposed to feel frustrated. Lawrence also opens up about becoming part of the show's writing team, the importance of creating multidimensional Black characters, and what it means to receive recognition for both his acting and writing.

And because we're both longtime soap fans, you KNOW we had to geek out about classic storylines, legendary rivalries, and those crossover opportunities that never happened! From the past to the present and the future of daytime television, this is one conversation you won't want to miss!
