Heather Tom Talks 20 Years as Katie Logan, Daytime Emmys & B&B Drama

Heather Tom returns to The Buzz ahead of the Daytime Emmy Awards. The six-time Emmy winner opens up about receiving two nominations this year, including recognition as both Lead Actress and as part of The Bold and the Beautiful writing team.

We also look ahead to another huge milestone: 2027 marks 20 years since Heather debuted as Katie Logan. Heather dives into Katie's evolution, why the character's heart-transplant scar and history still matter, and what's really driving Katie's fierce reaction to Dylan after everything that happened with Will and Luna.

Plus, Heather explains why she believes the real love story in the Bill/Katie/Brooke triangle was actually Katie and Brooke, why Bill will always be the love of Katie's life, what it's like working opposite Crew Morrow when he sounds so much like his dad Joshua, and how Heather pulled off writing, directing AND acting in the same episode. And, naturally, we discuss the most important Emmy tradition of all: the Lead Actress nominees' lunch.
