The Guardians Force Game 5 in Cleveland

After three hours and thirty-nine minutes, and a whopping 15 pitching changes between the White Sox and Guardians, we are heading to a game 5 on Saturday night in Cleveland. The Guardians scored 6 runs in the top of the 6th inning.

Angel Martínez scored on a pitch that hit him, stole second, and then scored on a Bazzana double to make it 4-4. Former Richmond Flying Squirrel Patrick Bailey singled Bazzana home.

José Ramírez scored Bailey on an infield single. Chase DeLauter singled in a run, and then Jo Adell hit a 2-run single to give the Guardians a 9-4 lead.

The Guardians' manager Stephen Vogt called on Gavin Williams to close out the game and secure the 9-5 victory. The pivotal Game 5 will be in Cleveland on Saturday at 8 PM EST.

The pitching matchup is still undisclosed, but I expect to see Sean Burke for the Sox and Gavin Williams for the Guardians. To close out today’s episode, we get a special visit from my homie Santos of The Baseball Aficionado.

I asked him to share his thoughts on the Dodgers’ close Edwin Diaz. That’s it for today.

See you tomorrow.
