The Braves Take Charge, the Padres Hold at Home

Behind a brilliant performance from Yamamoto: 7 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 10 Ks, the Dodgers take a commanding 3-1 lead in Atlanta. It was Kike postseason magic again for LA.

His homer in the 4th really propelled the Champs to the victory. In Southern California, the Padres held on to defeat the Brewers 4-3.

It was Jake Cronenworth who hit a big blast in the 5th that broke the 2-2 tie and really got the Petco crowd revved up. The Padres called on Michael King to close the game because Mason Miller was out for the day on paternity leave.

All eight teams are in action today. Games start at 4 PM EST with Cleveland at Chicago, the Dodgers face the Braves at 6 PM, the Rays play New York at 8 PM, and the Brewers face the Padres at 10 PM EST.
