
"Nothing I accept about myself can be used against me to diminish me - Audre Lorde" The most radical act a person can do is to fully love themselves in a world that tells them not to. Being Black, fat , and a woman, society tried to convince me, in so many ways, to hate myself.
Being transparent, it almost succeeded. My healing journey wouldn't be effective unless I learned to love my Fatness .
It defines so much of my identity that accepting it led to my own liberation. Aspects since childhood that once brought me shame or anguish are now sources of my protection , spiritual knowing , and resilience .
As the Class of 2026 celebrates its accomplishments, I'm inspired to reflect on my own milestones. For today's episode, I proudly proclaim what I love most about being fat.
