PCOS is now PMOS, Empty Arms, and Reclaiming Joy in the Valley with Danielle Anderson
How do you mother when your arms are empty? In this deeply moving episode, we sit down with birth and bereavement doula Danielle Anderson to discuss the raw realities of infertility, maternal grief, and the sacred journey of healing from the inside out.
Danielle opens up about her personal battle with what has long been known as PCOS— recently renamed PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome) —undergoing three rounds of Clomid to conceive her firstborn, navigating the heartbreak of two consecutive miscarriages, and the surprise conception of her second son, Chase. But just after his first birthday, the unthinkable happened: Chase passed away from what was ultimately ruled "natural causes.
