Black Podcast Directory Nears 1,500 Black-Hosted Podcasts, Giving Creators and Listeners a Home of Their Own
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
A dedicated, searchable catalog built to close the discovery gap for Black podcasts
NEW YORK, NY — October 16, 2026 — Black Podcast Directory, a free directory built exclusively for Black-hosted and Black-centered podcasts, today announced that its catalog is closing in on 1,500 listed shows. The directory now lists nearly 1,500 podcasts across more than 50 categories, from true crime and business to faith, sports and culture.
Mainstream podcast apps surface shows through global trending charts, where Black creators are often overlooked. The directory takes a different approach: every show listed is Black-hosted or Black-centered, and every listing is organized so a listener can browse by topic, find new episodes, and follow the shows they like in one place.
"Great Black podcasts are being made every day, but they're easy to miss on platforms built around global charts," said Errol Dunlap, Curator of Black Podcast Directory. "We built the directory so a listener can find them in one place, and so creators don't have to fight an algorithm to be heard."
