She's a Chicago native, a mother, a licensed natural hair care professional, and an educator. She comes from a long line of women with natural hair down their backs, and she's been braiding and pressing since she was a kid because her mama kept sending her little sister outside with ratty ponytails.

She didn't go pro until her thirties, and now she specializes in natural hair because she wants there to be a space that's actually built for it. She wants us to let our hair be great in its own lane, technical term texture, and she wants us to love hard on it rather than tolerate it.
