For the Love of Black Women ! Ft. Crystle Johnson & Rachel Z. Harris | We Ain't Dying For This
We Ain't Dying For This | S3 E1 — For the Love of Black Women What does it mean to dream as a Black woman? In the Season 3 premiere, Crystle Johnson sits down with Rachel Z.
Harris, founder of Black Woman Sanctuary and Ixchel Balam, for a conversation about what it takes to build a life on your own terms, and the spaces that make that possible. Rachel left behind so many careers and multiple lives when she moved to México.
What she found on the other side was something she'd been reaching for all along: the freedom to step outside the white gaze and rediscover what she actually wants. In this episode, she and Crystle get honest about hypervisibility and invisibility at the same time, about the kind of underbelonging that lives outside the workplace, and about why rest and real life change, not just stress management, is the work in front of us.
This is a conversation between two women building parallel ecosystems in the same city. Kinory is a global social dining community and belonging ecosystem for Black women.
Black Woman Sanctuary is a place designed for restoration. Both rooted in the same belief: that Black women deserve spaces built for who we actually are.
