In this episode, i reflected on why i am still living in America after 15 years. I migrated to the United States from Nigeria in 2011 for grad school and decided to stay afterwards.
My reason for remaining in the US has evolved over the years and taking out time to reflect on those reasons recently has really helped me. Being an immigrant in America today has become increasingly difficult since this current government/administration and sometimes it takes sitting down and reflecting on why you're still living here to give you a fresh perspective.
I touched on 5 areas of my life that has been influenced/impacted by living in America these past 15 years. I spoke about how beautiful and how great America is as a country and i am so blessed to live here.
I feel like i have been conditioned by the system/culture and fear that i might feel estranged whenever i go back to my home country to visit. I hope this episode resonates with my fellow immigrants or anyone who is curious about how life in America is.Thanks for watching, pls like, comment, share, subscribe. #livinginamerica #lifeabroad #africansabroad #immigrantjourney #japa #relocation Please Subscribe and watch our YouTube channel: @LifeAsWeSeeItPodcast
