
In this episode of Hunting 4 Answers : In June 2019, 17-year-old Alysha Johnson had just graduated from high school and was looking ahead to what came next. She and her boyfriend had signed a lease for their first apartment, and she was only weeks away from turning eighteen.
That afternoon, Alysha was sitting in a car outside a convenience store in north Charlotte while someone stepped inside. Moments later, three people approached the vehicle.
Investigators later said the encounter appeared to be an attempted robbery. Gunfire erupted in the parking lot, and Alysha was shot multiple times.
Years later, the man prosecutors identified as the shooter pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. This is the story of Alysha Johnson.
