Racial Tensions Rise As Trial For Black Teen Accused Of Murdering White Teen Gets Underway

We’re following day one of the Karmelo Anthony trial, the teen accused of killing another teen after a scuffle before a track meet. There has been outrage that an all white jury was seated to decide Anthony’s fate.

Anthony is black while the victim, 17-year-old Austin Metcalf is white. Today we heard opening arguments and the first witness, as protests erupt outside the courthouse.
